Michael Klem is an education professional with extensive experience in international education, employability, education technology and entrepreneurship in Asia.
In 2020, he founded and currently heads the Singapore Education Network (SEN), a One-Stop-Service provider for the Education Sector and also manages e-commerce platform offering 500+ technology-enabled solutions for the education sector in Asia.

Dr. Jang’s earlier academic background includes a Master’s degree (M.Si) and a Doctorate (Ph.D) — the LSPR listing indicates he completed his S3 (doctoral) at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) during 2019-2023, following a Master’s (2016-2018) and Bachelor’s from LSPR in communication/ business.
In his role at Elsevier, Dr. Jang engages with Indonesian higher-education institutions to support research publication quality, database access, and bibliometric strategies. For example, he appeared as a speaker at a seminar at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) where he was identified as a “Customer Consultant from Elsevier Asia Pacific (APAC)”. He also spoke at a workshop at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) together with Elsevier in 2025 on strengthening publication capacity for Indonesian universities.
Dr. Jang has emphasized the importance of using indexes, bibliometric data, and research databases (like Scopus and ScienceDirect) to enhance research quality and visibility. For instance, at a session at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), he remarked that ScienceDirect includes a high percentage of publications in Q1 and Q2 journals and discussed how universities can leverage such databases.
